Breakfast

It’s all about choices.

What time?
Serious coffee (or tea) is available by 7:30. A full buffet presented by 8:30 AM. You can enjoy it up to 10:00. Early or late, it’s up to you.
What’s included?

A full buffet with lot’s of choices including: fresh fruit artfully prepared (we carefully select the tastiest, ripe and ready crops), pastries, a variety of breads, yogurts, a choice of cereals (including granola), and a hot entree that changes daily.
We’ll entertain you with a new item every day – even if you book a week or more (some of our “regulars” do just that). You can expect an alternation each day between an egg dish and something sweeter. You might enjoy a Summer Frittata with fresh herbs one morning and Wild Maine Blueberry French Toast the next day.

        Where to eat?
Breakfast Patio

Grab a tray, harvest your breakfast, bring it to the dining area, the breakfast patio by the gardens, or even tote it to your personal deck to be enjoyed in seclusion. Be social or be quiet and private.

If you have allergies, we’ll be glad to explain which foods are “safe” for you.  If your current diet is very restrictive, we encourage you to bring those items specific to your unique needs. There is a Hannaford’s supermarket near us for your convenience as well. Each guestroom has a refrigerator.

Many inns and B&Bs offer a table service morning meal at specified times. You will sit with other people and be presented with the meal of the day. It could be fun. But sometimes you’ll like it and sometimes not. And the person sitting next to you might be fascinating or not…In fact, for our first year of keeping (13 years ago), that’s what we provided.
After surveying our guests and the plates returning to the kitchen, we made some changes. Most people thoroughly enjoyed our dishes, but some just didn’t want the items provided. And many had a good time the night before and didn’t want to be restricted to a specific breakfast time. At the Morning Glory Inn you can choose what time to eat, what you eat, where you’ll eat it. After all, when you’re on “holiday” the last thing you need is rules!
